I would imagine the prices are normal retail type but I don't know for sure.  Some of our guys were there last September and had a great time- maybe one of them will be along with a more definitive answer for you.

There were however some Leatherman Store exclusives that you may want to stock up on, and some discontinued or mislabeled stuff on discount.  I have a nice Skeletool marked FREESTYLE that was sold off through the store.

Also, be sure to announce yourself as a Multitool.org member.  I can't say as it would help you much, but if any of the powers that be are around they may come out and say Hi.  :D

Prices are fairly standard retail I think. They did have some nice clearance/discontinued items for sale though, I got some nice T-smurfs & discontinued zip case sheath.

It is well worth a visit  ;) :D :D :D

I was just there about a week ago.  Most items are sold at full MSRP, but they've usually got some specials going on select items.  Also, if you go to the Leatherman website, there is a coupon you can print off that is good for a free hat, t-shirt, or LED Lenser K3 flashlight for free if you spend over $50.  http://www.leatherman.com/about/pdfs/Coupon2011.pdf

they sometimes have discontinued knives/tools or items that are only available at the retail store, but that varies quite a bit.  (the selection in the clearance bins has been different every time I've been there.)

enjoy the factory tour!  I've taken it twice, and it was amazing both times.  :)

I really want to go check Leatherman out in person. I live in Great Falls, MT which is about 12 hrs from Portland. I am trying everything I know to try in order to convince my Wife that we need to plan a trip. I think I can convince her since it is a bigger town and has alot of stuff we don't have around here.

Anyways, have a good time and take some pictures (if they let you).  :tu:

Powell's Bookstore is well worth a look it is HUGE.
The drive up Mount Hood to see the Timberline Lodge (from the movie The Shining) was great too  :tu: :tu:

The drive & scenery were brilliant , not a huge amount of references to the Shining at the Lodge though  . Easy enough for you to do your own film re-enactments  ;) :D :D

I live about 25 miles away from the store, and I've been there a few times. I'll add this-- if you, your family, friends, casual acquaintances or anyone you happen to know is in need of a Leatherman warranty service, take the tools with you and get taken care of without needing to mail something off or wait for a replacement. The service in the store is outstanding. They'll also laser-etch any new or current tool while you wait, for $5 apiece.

Last time I was there, about 3 weeks ago, there was a big basket of closeout Skeletool CXs for about $65 if I remember right, as well as a number of demo and open-box LED Lenser lights. There were also a (very) few discontinued pocket knives. Aside from those, pretty much everything was at list price.

I was slightly disappointed that they didn't have an OHT to fondle.
