Headphone Anti-Dust Plug Ear Caps Stylus??

The subject says it all, does anyone have one, or ever tried one?? I'm after a stylus, but don't have any room to put one with my iPad, so I saw this and am very interested, the one thing that has me concerned is that there aluminum, great, but will that interfere with the headphone jack when pluged in? Any info would be great thanks,, JR

According to Steve Jobs if you have a stylus you are doing it wrong.  That's about all the help I can give.

Well it would interfere if you were wanting to use the ear phone jack but if you are just using it as a storage option the stylus doesn't look long enough to down in the hole as an earbud would. Looks as if it just fits and stops short of making contact with the electronic part.

Seems a little too small. I have one that's 1.75" long (attaches to earphone port with a plastic plug) and it's borderline hard to use, with that one you'll just end up with two fingers block the view instead of one.

If you don't mind that I don't see a problem.

Steve, as far as the earphones go, no I don't use them so that kinda clears that problem
JZ, small yes, where it plugs in is where you would hold it so, yeah it's going to be a two finger hold on it, but I just need something to do a quick sketch, but I guess well see,,  JR

it's anodized so it shouldn't interfere with the earphone jack.

i really cannot understand why you would want a stylus for an ipad. Are you using it for sketching or as a graphics tablet or something?

well one of the reasons is that i play some sketch game online, and i cant draw with my finger, i took 7yrs of drafting and blueprint reading in school, but i cant draw with a finger, lol, i just cant do it, i need a point or something to work with, same thing when it comes for a quick note, writing with my finger, its worse then a doctors, i cant understand my own chicken scratch,, thats why i was wondering if anyone has ever tried one of these, its gotta be better then what im doing now, i hope,, JR

Pure precision/performance wise, stylus isn't any better than your finger on a capacitive screen in my experience.

If you aren't in a hurry, go to dx.com and get a couple to try out, they are cheap enough.

Well this is what i went ahead and bought, figured for $5 what the heck, i dont really carry the pad everywhere, but fig that the little plug could just stay in the headphone jack, and the other i can just keep on the night stand where i play the drawing game, but you get 3 of each, and since the wife also has a ipad she can keep one in hers and also, we have a ipod so keep one in that as well, as for the pens, well just keep one on each side of the bed and a spare in the office? and if we like the stylus then go ahead and get a better one, i was looking at the one you posted, i saw it somewhere, i think amazon, i really liked it cause it was nice and heavy, but who knows i might not even like it? we'll see. it should be here tomorrow,

Well if you wanted a longer pen type, you could always take a pen and add the "in" plug to it and have a regular sized one. I have a stylus for my iPhone that I made from another stylus. It's a shorty so it matches my other minis.
