If you had the money and laws were of no issue (for UK folks) what knife would you buy... Only ONE though

I'd buy a CRK spider web Sebenza 21 with raindrop damascus blade  :gimme:

I'd go with an original PST as well -- one of the original Cabela's models, or one that says "pocket survival tool" on the handle.  :tu:

Well.. Since laws are no issue and it should be a knife. I always wanted a ballistic knife like the one the Equalizer had 8)

This is all I can think of off the top of my head, but I'm certain there are others I would want more.

I know it's cheesy and corny, but I think it's beautiful in a way overdone sort of way.  I have had a few chances to buy one over the years, but the offers seem to only come when I'm already overestended.   :-\

Id probably carry a large fixed blade, and my fav would be the Fallkniven A1.  I can just see myself kicking back in the office using that to open letters... :D

Perhaps the Benchmade 53 Mangus Bali-Song, since balisongs are a no-go with the local laws. I find the balisong design an elegant solution to the problem of building a locking, folding knife, so as laws are not a problem, probably some sort of nice utility balisong. (In general, knives with three square feet of scrimshaw and half a kilo of gold in the handle do little for me, so most knives I really like aren't prohibitively expensive.)

If money was absolutely no problem. Mine wouldn't be a knife it would be a sword! A hand folded, made by a master bladesmith from Japan. Made the old way. I've have seen these for sale and the price would scare you! Try $35000 to start.
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

+1 And built for a 6' westerner- a little longer. Although I'd try to argue that the daisho is really only one sword, not two. :P

Hammond Mirage Titanium frame lock.  Or a Curtis Nano in carbon fiber and titanium.

The problem with that Steve is that you'd then have to mod a bottle opener onto it somehow....
