I used the name "moose" ( on the loose)  because my friends called me that way.
But a got myself i an argument whit an american guy who claiment football whas an american invention AND the best sport ever.
So, after we talked for a while and i said it COULD be an interesting game if they let the ball explode and made the white lines out of barbed wire he asked me if i had a screw loose.. ...

I also work with mental patients.  :woohoo:

Magic Bus was the name of a band I was in for a few years. Best damn band I've ever had the pleasure of playing in  :D
 I thought you were a Who fan

I am a Who fan too  8)  Their album "Who's Next" IMO is one of the best rock albums of all time.

i used to draw a weird little character with no face, only eyes when i was younger and not paying attention in class, whom i named 'pica agonistes' after the unit of measurement, and the literary term, from the greek, for 'the struggles of' as in 'samson agonistes' by milton.  after awhile, the eyes went away too and it is now a weird little character with no face at all.  female, but doesn't look it--much like myself.  heh.

Great story - Love your characters and drawings

'Their album "Who's Next" IMO is one of the best rock album of all time.'   :salute:

Saw them at Wembley Stadium in London in about 1981 supported by Nils Lofgren, AC/DC and the Stranglers ......

What a gig !!

Not sure if this is true - But apparently the laser light show during the finale - 'Won't get Fooled Again', was stopped by Air Traffic Control - As it was intefering with planes landing at Heathrow Airport.   >:D

Great topic.

I'm a gamer. Online mostly. Love me some FPS's. When I first got into online gaming I needed to create a profile. I knew people would actually be calling me by this name for my entire gaming career/life. (once its been created you actually have to pay to change you profile/gamertag) So I need something cool...ish; since it was going to be permanent.

Something like Captain ColdSore wasn't going to cut it, and cliched names like ShadowWolf or SniperAssasin I find hilarious. I thought about things I was into, different intellectual properties, variations of my name or early nicknames. My earliest being DOLO, which was already taken unfortunately.

I thought about movies and out of nowhere I started to think of the movie "The Huslter" starring one Paul Newman (Fast Eddie) and Jackie Gleason (Minnesota Fats). Great film.
I liked Fats instantly. I at the time being an over three-hundred pounder. (Since then I've lost over a hundred pounds, gained about thirty back...but not for long)
So was like, "huh". What variation of Fats?

After an elaborate and arduous process. (which did involve some American Gladiator type challenges) I ended up with Fattsgalore. My buds call me Fatts.

True story...

I have three first names and one is a Swedish name. It comes from rune stones and is the name of the viking goddess of the godlike. So I thought Sweety-Sama would suit fine for me! :D

Makes a lot of sense, right? ^_^

Man, I've not read those books in years.  Yes, Corwyn was definitely a badsmurf. 8)  I always rather preferred his brother Bleys though, at least he knew what the heck was going on. :D

 , I never posted here.

Well, I like aviation, military aviation, am fascinated with Vietnam and Vietnam movies.
So Rolling Thunder it was.

I also like the sound of this, rolls off your tongue.
I later learned there is a native american shaman of this name, too. Cool.  8)

But RollingThunder itself was already in use, so I had to add something.
Operation Rolling Thunder ended in 1968, I saw myself as the successor and so added 1969. Might also been influenced by a certain rock song I like.

And Sweety-sama just  :pok: me: I should add that I nowadays try to get away with the Abbrevation RT1969;)

I do like naval history. HMS Bellerophon was a famous (at the time) Royal Navy ship during the Napoleonic Wars, fought in many of the major fleet actions and was also notable because Napoleon surrendered aboard her.
But the Tars couldn't cope with the pronunciation of 'Bellerophon' and so the ship became known by all as the 'Billy Ruffian'. I just liked it!

My MT.org user name means absolutely nothing. It is merely a random "off the top of my head" made up name. I didn't think about it, and it has no significance whatsoever.

If it really bugs you and you ask real nice one of the admin team might change it for you. I can't guarantee they will, but if you really want to have something different that has a meaning they might be willing to help you.

No need. Doesn't bother me a bit. Been Glorn for nearly six and half years on this forum. It meant nothing when I signed up, but that doesn't make it meaningless after this long.

OK, long and dumb story.

I married a girl from Micronesia, in the western Pacific. We took our honeymoon back there, so I could meet her family. On one of the islands we stayed on, the one she was originally from, there was this little 3-year-old girl named Lytia. I was the first white guy she had ever seen and she was terrified of me, she thought I was a ghost. In their language, ghost was "yalius," pronounces "yeah-roos" with a very short lingual R sound. She called me that for months even after she stopped being scared of me, and I thought it was cool as hell that my nickname was "ghost." Sooooo... I've been using it online for years, now.

I'd blame the British for that.
