I use my SAKs everyday but today my XLT was used many times. After the weekly manicure I fixed the audio system in my car. I used it to strip cables and cut duct tape with the Electrician's blade. The second time I did major work with it (after installing 5.1 speakers at work) and it is a perfect tool.
Earlier I cut a stick from a bougainvillea pot in two, in order to fit in the car.
For some clamshell packs I used my Minichamp's cut n' picker blade, because it is the best for that purpose, although the pruner can do the same job with ease.

Today a huge storm came and my patio drain was covering with leaves and all sorts of crap. Remembered that i had a big roll of window wire screen (i dont know how to say this properly) and used the metal saw on my ranger 90 to cut a smaller piece, it made short work of it and managed to cover the drain in time  :tu:

I dont know if you can see it in the pic but it was a big thick roll of a couple of meters.

Now can anyone tell me why i stoped in an emergency to take a pic to upload it here afterwards

The Champ, obviously, because it is beefier.

Last night I used the backside Phillips on my s18 to take all the screws out of a wireless optical mouse, and the file to pry it open and take out the smaler screws holding the insides...in. Then I removed the worn-down on/off slider switch. bored a small hole in it, then used the Phillips to thread a small screw into the button to give it a more 3-D profile. Finally, I put it all back together. Now the mouse's owner can reach the on/off button again.

I admit I needed my Wave to shorten the screw so it wouldn't clear the button and bore right into the circuit board on the other side.

lol thanks. It's a matter of just showing him the results of compulsive gambling on a rabbit that had to be cleaned anyway.
Hopefully some pics soon and not with my cousin running away

The troughs and planters I bought recently for my garden often didn't have drainage holes in them, so I've been drilling holes in the bottom as I go, usually with my Spirit X (excellent awl). Today I had to drill another, but didn't have the Spirit to hand so I reached in my pocket and pulled out my Swissbuck Sidekick (Wenger Traveller variant). I didn't bother trying to use the punch as they're no good for drilling, but the can opener worked a treat  :tu:

Awl to make a bead hole bigger, scissors to remove a whole bunch of loose cotton (drives me mad!) and the small blade for some post liberating.

So i needed to change my curtain strap roller (dont know how to say this properly). Bought a new one, grabed my ranger from the sheath, took the two phillips out using the bit screwdriver and ready to replace... except the new one has a shorter distance between screws

So i could just put one screw but thats not a good idea on the long run, my power drill is currently lost under a pile of a lot of things while im remodelling my patio, so i was ready to postpone the job when i remembered how nice the new awl was for drilling a piece of wood a while ago. But can it handle a wall?  lets give it a try at least

So first try on puncturing the wall, success

Now lets try and rotate it and see what happens (the actual twisting motion required a firmer grip than what the photo shows)

After twisting till the whole awl entered the wall took it out and found out why it drills so easily, the hollow part on the side is great for accumulating material preventing jamming-tearing

Now thats a nice hole for the screw

Finished using just the ranger

Things got a bit messy in the process but it was worth it  :D it wasnt the awls fault though..

May i finish this long post giving a big  :salute: for wenger for a great useful sak

My new small Tinker did all of the usual things my SAKs do at work-open packages, open cans, a bit of prying... Today though I got a call from a friend of mine.  Two weeks ago he'd gotten his first SAK, a 91mm Tinker.  He called me all excited that he was at a friends' apartment and a Phillips driver was needed for something.  His buddy couldn't find one, but there was the Tinker in Jim's pocket!  :)  Now he wants me to teach him how to open cans with it.....

Used the Phillips driver on the Tinker to tighten a drawer handle. I don't think an in line driver would have worked on this one, so the back tool was perfect.
