Tonight me and my girlfriend had dinner at a "dining in the dark" style restaurant. You enter a pitch black room, where you literally can't see anything at all, and have a dinner served to you by blind waiters. You don't see the other guests, and you obviously don't see the food. It was a great experience, especially since the blind owner of the place (who was also one of the two waiters) held a small concert during the dinner. He had a great voice, and it ended up with everyone singing along together, and even some guests bursting into their own songs.

I used my Explorer to open up two bottles of water - there was a cap lifter somewhere on the table, but I chose to search in my pocket instead

Good thing you deployed the cap lifter instead of the blade.  :D

That place sounds interesting, but I can't say I'd like the idea of not being able to see my food.  I prefer to see something before I put it in my mouth.  Other than that though, it sounds like it would be an interesting time for sure :tu:

Used my Cybertool to take off the clip on my Wingman to try and get more retention on it. The Cybertool worked great. Gaining more retention on my Wingman pocket clip did not. Not sure why, but I cannot get the clip to hold my pocket any tighter. Why can't leatherman get a pocket clip right and put it on the OTHER HANDLE!!!!!

I put the MiniChamp to work just moments after unboxing it. I had to cut out small rubber risers for my bluetooth keyboard.

Thanks for the review Nate :tu: I don't know anyone that uses a punch on a torpedo or belicoso type cigar. I sharpen my punch cutters using a Smith's diamond rod or I'll send them to the manufacturer depending on the brand, like Xikar. I wonder if you can send it back to Victorinox for sharpening

Sent from Endor via an Ewok

No problem.  TBH, I had to reach a bit to find some Cons.  I did submit the question about sharpening to Vic, and will post the response in this thread if/when I receive one.

The full text of the exchange is below, but in a nutshell it appears that, for the price of postage  both ways, one can get the punches sharpened by Vic.

This is purely a theoretical question at present, but if the punches (not concerned with knife blade or scissors) on my Victorinox Cigar Cutter get dull, may I send it to Victorinox for sharpening?  If so, is there a charge for this service?  If Victorinox does not provide this service, what is the recommended procedure for sharpening the punches?  Thank you.

Went to a college (American) football game today, with tailgating both before and after.  As it turned out, the only bottle opener among ~10 people in our group was the one on my alox Soldier.  It got to the point that I was just dropping the knife back in my pocket with the bottle opener still open, in order to save the time that would have been required to open and close it each time it was needed.  It got quite a workout.

I used the Climber a bit ago during my lunchtime walk. We had storms and 35 mph winds this weekend. There were some yellow plastic police-line-style banners between some barricades in the parking lot here at work, and some of those were blown all over the place.

One of them was blown off of the barricades, and was half in a tree and half in the weeds, right across the walking trail.

Out came the Climber, and I cut that "police line" with the large blade. No need to pick it up, as it was still held fast by the tree and weeds. One of our facilities guys will clean it up when he cleans up the rest of the carnage, I'm sure. :)

Haha, what's so weird about trimming whiskers with the SAK scissors? :pok:  I think they are perfect for that, although the 91mm ones can be a bit big for some whisker trimming angles.  The Executive's scissors are great for this, and I would imagine the 58mm ones would be great as well :tu:  Trim away ;)
