Got one for Christmas. I have never tried a Taylor version but I must admit, I'm impressed. Much better quality than I would have expected.

The Taylor Schrades tend to be hit and miss, in quality, or maybe they just used to.

I have a few that are a couple of years old and the only one that was decent was a sodbuster.
The main problem they had was that the tangs were not polished properly so the blades will not open and close smoothly. But they were cheap.

Your own looks nice.

It will be good if they have now improved.
Note that you can still find US made ones on eBay and they are prety solid knives.

Also try the Rough Rider (and their relatives) ones.
