I just picked up a 32gb ipod touch. Nice toy, real nice. I want to rip some of my DVDs into itunes so I can sync them with the touch. This thing plays videos like nobody's business! I see some software available that will do this. Does anyone know what works best? :think:

You can rent or buy movies from itunes but with my pitiful download restrictions (425mb per 24 hrs) on Hughesnet it would take days to download! >:( Since I have a couple of hundred movies I might as well use what I have.

I use Xilisoft Video Converter. This is a powerful converter and can convert several files simultaineously.

Thanks Eddie, I'll check it out. I found some free software from http://www.forums.ipodtouchhacks.com/ that worked but it converts it without chapter breaks.

Nothing against iTunes really, but that damned updater drives me crazy.  It always wants to get updates, and whenever it does, it sets everything to automatically default to iTunes.  I hate it when programs automatically change my settings, and even more so when they do it repeatedly.
