Mine is simply "Eat a higher number of species." :) I picked up some hemp protein the other day just because, well, it's not like I eat rope for breakfast, so that would be a new species. Should be both healthy (larger diversity in foodstuffs) and enjoyable (you, know larger diversity in foodstuffs...) testing different stuff to see what I like.

To all those looking to lose weight. Maybe what worked for me may work for you. Last year I lost 60 pounds and really didn't change any one area of my life too drastically.

I love bread and carbs so much in fact I would eat on average 3 loaves(whole wheat) a week. I don't eat bread anymore. Well that is unless it's fancy bread or something like that for a treat, let's say when I go out for dinner or something.

I increased my water intake 1000%. I rarely drank water, most of the time it was coffee and or pop. Now I sip from a water bottle whenever the opportunity presents itself.

I started exercising again. Not in the traditional sense of working out with the intention to lose weight. Just to be more active. I have been an avid cyclist my whole life. Riding off road is one of the greatest thrills for me. So I started biking back on forth to work again. About 20 minutes each way. This helps keep my metabolism boosted all day and keeps my motor burning calories.

I just want to say good luck to those who want to lose weight. I have been pretty lucky on this front. I might gain a couple pounds in the winter and then burn them off in the spring. What might help me is that I tend to "Eat to live" than "Live to eat". Not sure this is a good thing. But if I am outside doing fun stuff and I get hungry, I will rush in, grab something, then wolf it down so I can get back to doing what I was doing. There are a few things that I love to eat, but I still scarf it down and hurry back to do what I was doing. Like I said, this probably not a good thing, but it might help a little for some maybe.

Well I too could do with a inch or two off the waist line!!

I'm gonna treat myself to a skip  - and then I'm gonna fill it - the hard way with a shovel.
Let me tell ya there is absolutely no better workout than the shovel !!

But that will take all of a few days at most - but it's enough to get the old ticker pumping.
I've got an exercise bike - but it's too easy to get off - so instead I'll make myself cycle  around the block every day. Oh yeah!! I hear you all cry, but once I'm out on the bike chances are that I wont be satisfied  with once round the block - but alas not every day can I find time to make it more - therefore I haven't broken any unwritten vows as long as I go round the block, takes all of 10mins!!  I'm confident 10mins is obtainable  :tu:

Chocolate - God I love the stuff, not crisps, pasties, burgers no no no... can go for months without any. But Chocolate, especially Cadburys... .

So, I vow not to BUY any chocolate, I'm gonna allow myself the luxury to eat the stuff no problem, just can't buy it.

Okay, I'm going straight into the garage to pump up the tyres.

To not make resolutions I have no intent on actually keeping.

To actually get some Kydex and maybe a drill press, rather than talking about it like I have for the past couple years.

To fix more, buy less.

UPDATE

Well I did it - went round the block on the bike actually took less than 10mins. I wanted to check everything was still okay i.e gears, brakes etc etc.

Skips gonna be ordered later this week ..hopefully? it's snowing outside as I type this.

Oh' an' guess what.....In the cupboard was a choccy bar...cadburys too .

Well I didn't buy it - so my conscience is clear.

So far so good

How's the rest of you coping - no slipping I hope  :twak:
