The little AAA headlamp looks promising.  :)  My wife is into ultralight gear and is trying to standardize on AAA's, so that might be a good bit of gear for her.

I liked the look of that as well.  My big question though is; can it be angled down in that clip?  If it only points straight forward it limits it's usefulness IMO.

That does look pretty neat. I wonder how it compares to the Zebra light that it looks like? I don't remember the model...

Zebralight doesn't have a AAA option yet. I can't remember seeing a brand name manufacturer coming out with an AAA option till now. Looks promising, easy pulling the flashlight in and out, but I do worry how safe the flashlight will be in there, especially if used as a running light, cause the locking mechanism doesn't look so solid.

And nice to see a 2xAA battery pack on the bigger helmet version. :salute: I never liked the 3xAAA configuration the most Petzl, Princeton Tec, ... headlamps come with.

Hmm, I'm a tad underwhelmed with the new offerings myself.

Zebralight already covers my headlight needs perfectly and that really big bugger is too spendy for me to have just for fun! :D

Word!

I've had a few Fenixes in the past, and they simply haven't met my needs all that well.

Gareth, good point on angling the beam of that headlamp... silly of me for not thinking of that myself, considering what a headlamp nut I am!

Ding!  Ding!  Ding!  Looks like it might be a winner!

Now only if they'd make a neutral or HCRI version...

Sorry Heinz but we did know you were going to say that. :D

$30 does sound like a good basic price to me too, definitely a winner. :tu:

Don't worry mate we'd be disappointed if you didn't say it.  Either that or we'd suspect that you'd been replaced by the pod people. :D
