Workchamp today!

I am enjoying this bigger SAK and nylon scales. Love the tool  selection too... perfect for my needs.

Carrying a Voyager I snagged out of the SOS GAW box.  Replaced the battery and it kept powering down.  Took the front scale off and adjusted the battery contacts and it works like a charm.  Thanks to whoever donated it!

I've been carrying this thing a bit more frequently recently. I really like this model and even though the flashlight isn't actually that powerful, it's still strong enough for me. I just wish it had pliers. That's really the only thing missing for me. I'd swap the saw for some pliers in a heartbeat. I have the Winter Magic Climber Lite model, and if it weren't a limited edition model, I'd carry it daily instead of this guy (although, I like the plus scales on the Huntsman Lite -- I just wish they came in a different colour).

An evening out with Mrs Surge  :twak: in central London.

Here's the Compact sitting on a well used Metropolitan Line tube seat  ;)
They don't like it up 'em!

What do you think of the Workchamp? Is it annoying having to lift the scissors or the pliers to get to the underlying screwdrivers? And also, the non-one-hand-opening large blade, what do you think about that compared the the OH versions? I've been looking into a Workchamp for a very very long time now and am just not sure if I want to pull the trigger on that one. I've been carrying around a Swiss Champ for many many years so I wanted to know if it may be a suitable upgrade for harder use. Anyways, I'm carrying my Swiss Champ and a Rescue Tool.

Carrying these three beauties today. The Spyderco is a Stretch (Sal Glesser's personal favourite) in HAP10/SUS410. They're all great knives; I love the Harvester (I wish they still made the Swiss Army 6, though). And of course, the Swiss Champ that I always carry.

Im still to decide what to carry:
Victorinox Huntsman + Minichamp?
Pros: Hook, Good Scissors, the Tools are easyley to pick whit shorter Fingernails, European Knive Law Friendly
Cons: No Blade Lock No Pliers, i need 2 SAK actually when i want a Fingernail Cleaner (The  Minichamp).

Victorinox Delemont EvoGrip S19
Pros: Blade Lock, Wenger Scissors, Nail Cleaning Tool, looks cool in Red and Black,
Cons: Not European Knive Law Friendly, no Hook, no Pliers, and some of the Tools are Nail Killers still, although they got a bit more easy to reach since i receive it back then..

Victorinox Delemont Evolution S57 (or how it called)
Pros: Everything from the EvoGrip, + Pliers
Cons: Everything from the EvoGrip, but now it got Pliers..

Swizza (I can’t remember its Modellname)
Pros: Blade Lock, the Tools are quite easy to grapp, its got an Aale which is also useful for opening packages, it’s unike ..
Cons: Not Europan. Knive law friendly, the Scissors are not that useful as they are too weak for cutting more than paper, and there are no pliers..

Maybe i should carry the Huntsman then ..

Or should i make something completely different:
Victorinox Swisschamp +Minichamp + my small Böker Slipjoint?
Your SAK is only fully yours, when it bites you, or you opend a Trink of your joice whit it
SAKs i have: Huntsman Light (Red Transparent), Workchamp (Black), Wenger EvoGrip S557 (Red), Swisschamp XLT (Red Transparent).. Swisschamp (Blue Transparent) Cybertool L (Blue Celidor (custom scales) , Huntsman (Black Celidor) , Victorinox EvoGrip S557 (Red, but sadly lost in my house somewhere) Victorinox Delemont S17 and S57 ..  , waiting for: Swiza D09 Blue

Midnite Manager while at the office. Today's my Friday, so when I get home I will swap to my Rangergrip 71 for gardening chores. And pardon the Cybertool S - he is never far from my belt holster.

Bevor i take the Poineer X 2024 Limited Edition out of my Paketstation this afternoon: Would it be "Blasphemie or an Sakrileg" to use this SAK for everyday stuff? Open Bottles, Cans, Cutting Bagles etc? Its some sort of an Collectors Edition .. , .. its a shame Victorinox dos not sell them as Normal ALOX SAKs just whit different Colors..
Or is this something i have to ask myself`?

Mine, Damasts included, take their turn in EDC rotation, though none ever get much of a work out, just post opening  and bottle opening - they’re too nice to just sit on shelves!

Well the Alox Pioneer X was meant to be a Use SAK, i find it just a bit sad that Victorinox dosnt sell these special colors as "normal" Version, only as a "Special Edition" ..
This sounds like its something you would find in the Collection of an Multimilliarden Swiss Franks Worthy Collector Guy .. ..

So my Pockets contains now the Alox Pioneer X 2024 in this Red and the Minichamp in Red: Allthough i got yesterday the Blue Classic SD, i was a bit dissapointet about its Nail Cleaner Tool which is actually an Flathad Screwdriver allthough its sits on an Nail File ..  so i decide to take the Classic as an Collectors SAK and the Pioneer as Use Tool ..

I dont need that heavy stuff anyway, so allthough the Pioneer will get used, it will not be abused, and for Packages whit Packing Tape, there is still its Rimer ..

Lately my 4 layer yeoman-metal saw has been on my workbench so I have been carrying this Electrician X mod. Also my favorite traditional has been steadfastly in pocket.   [ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]
