Hey, can I ask all you folks with the bails(/shackles?) in your SIs — is that something you added yourselves or did it come like that? I couldn't quite find the relevant info on the Wiki (although that's likely user error because that site is quite thorough).

I guess you tried this page:
https://sakwiki.com/tiki-index.php?page=Wenger+Soldat+1961+-+Standard+Issue

I agree - It's not too clear -
I think the Wenger SIs were usually supplied to the Swiss Forces w/o the bail - But to the public w the bail
- But if anyone can confirm that would be great.

Also any other suggestions on how to make this page clearer will be gratefully received

Oh man, that's so cool! I actually have been using the wiki quite a bit; it's an extremely valuable resource IMO. I had no idea that there were 100th anniversary models in 1990. That would be really cool for me to get my hands on some day because it's my birth year.

Today I'm going to carry this custom Victorinox I commissioned a couple years back with tools I use/like the most.
Essentially a Scientist with a wood saw and scissors, or a Yeoman with wood saw.

Main blade
Inline Philips
Magnifying glass
Bottle opener/can opener combo tool
Wood Saw
Scissors

On the back are a corkscrew with mini screwdriver and a parcel hook with fingernail file.
Toothpick, tweezers, pen in the scales.

Rest in peace ColoSwiss, you will always be remembered.

It's like a three-layer Woodsman. Very cool model.

It's always nice to see a well-used blade. I heard someone make the observation that Wenger wasn't really afraid to 'go for it' with their models. They had some utterly bizarre models (two-foot telescoping presentation pointer in a model, Titanium Ueli Steck, etc etc). They certainly made some interesting models and I can't wait to go visit my dad to see what Wengers I have there from my childhood. Hilariously, the only Wenger product I have here is this sheath I've had for forever. Unfortunately, it doesn't really fit much. I think the largest model I can squeeze into it is a three-layer Climber...

That collapsing pointer could be useful at work
I might have to scrounge one up!

For quite a while I had a Pioneer in my pocket most days but my "Spartanion" has me won over lately. It pairs perfectly with an Executive, which is my favorite Swiss Army Knife.

Yes it is. With the 74mm scissors I don't need them in a 91, so a couple hours in the shop and I have an great 2 layer.

Thank you! Those are rosewood scales on the Exec; according to SAKWiki that's a luxury model. I don't know how luxurious they are, but I think they're pretty.
