Any one know the story behind these? Was this an actual release, or something for the cast and crew?

As Texastoolcrafters (who offer flawless international service i want to add) do Laser engraving and coating of tools as a business, there is a chance that they created it themselves.

I do like the MP 600 series but , as i found out with my BO T3 edition, i will not use special editions and rather have a good user. Or, if engraved,  have one with my name, like my original Mr. Pinchy was.

Cool find anyways. And thanks for making me add several of their items to my watchlist...  :twak:

I love The Walking Dead, but am not a fan of Gerber MT's.

Weird.  I hope they didnt make it themselves as using someone else logo, even a station/show name is pretty lame IMO.  It is used though and if you zoom in you can see the rust in a few of the pics.

And yes, the walking dead is awesome!  Starts up again finally next weekend!

Cool, but I wish they would have done something extra to it to make it more "special". Like maybe a zombie blood & guts two-color paint job or something :D

That is ridiculous  ??? a MP Gerber would be a TERRIBLE zombie killer  ??? , although can you imagine the rapidly rising suspense as Merle deftly deploys the pliers one handed (like he has a choice :P) & then struggles to deploy the blade too stab the zombie in the head at the last second  :ahhh :ahhh :D. The DET's C4 spike would be a mandatory mod to any MP Zombie tool  >:D >:D :D :D.

Now the Gerber Recoil is made for zombie adjustments , OHO blade + those pliers  >:D >:D. It would be a hell of a head shot, pliers launched into the side of a zombie's head or into their eye   >:D >:D

"Downunder Mod (that sounds dirty, doesn't it?)"
Yeh Baby :P >:D >:D

Seriously though, it's probably a Cast & Crew gift. My dad's in the industry and he's gotten similar stuff before.
