Guess I should have changed my sprockets and chain last month when I bought the new ones...  :facepalm:
Note the two teeth remaining.    Okay, the VERY worn two teeth remaining




It makes a REALLY weird noise when it does this.  ::)

I didn't think it was possible to wear them down that far!  I'd assumed it would have started slipping long ago!

Did they snap or just worn real bad? I had a bent one so nhave to replace a chainring

These all let go at once.  It was badly worn and I had the replacements and chain but hadn't managed to make time to change them.
I was on the way to work and there is a silly little round-a-bout in a backstreet that I usually just ride over the top of but when I gave it a handful to get the front wheel up it just chewed the teeth off the sprocket. I'm amazed that there are actually two left!!

The bike is a Husqvarna TE450.

I was going to ask if the chain ring was from a motorcycle but I guess it is. Didn't look like it came from a bicycle to me.

My brother used to use up his chain and sprocket sets teh same way, argumenting it would only slip if you were riding aggresively and so basically being an added security feature....
