I also stopped at the end of Tennant's run. I have nothing against Smith. It was just more a matter of timing and finances (dropping cable). We're looking at getting Amazon Prime, so i may start catching up with whatever's available for the Kindle.

I really liked Tennant as the 10th Doctor... thought he did a great job of bringing out that dark and malevolent shadow of the character, the reason the Daleks call him "the coming storm" and "the predator"... I was very concerned when Matt Smith took over the role, but even after the first have of season five, when he became the 11th Doctor, I wasn't so concerned. I really like his goofiness and quirkiness... and the way he's always one step ahead of everyone despite it seeming like he's a complete buffoon... As he's grown into the character, he's getting better at bringing out that same dark malevolence, but in a different way. As I was watching The Bells of Saint John, there's a scene about 3/4ths of the way through where he get noticeably angry... and I thought, "uh oh... they've done it now... now he's pissed!" If you don't want to buy it, Netflix has both the classic series, and the new series through season 6 online. It'd be an easy way to catch up. I'm just too much of a Whovian to wait a whole year for Netflix to get season 7.
Just for you.
I like all the doctor who's. It was what started me on the sci fi path. I loved the little robot dog lol
