Gerber Suspension question
on: May 05, 2013, 11:39:41 AM
A qustion to you more experienced repairers. The spring to the scissors on my Suspension tends to go over like this. The spring is slitghtly bend in the wrong direction.
Can I take it out and bend it back or will it likely break ?

I'd be tempted to try and bend it back myself.  Go gently and don't smash it with a big hammer and you should be OK I think. ;)
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

There is a chance it will break, but then, if it's non-functional otherwise, it might be worth a shot as you really don't have much to lose.

Gerber's warranty service should look after it either as is, or if it gets broken, so it might be worth contacting their representative in your area.

Thanks guys for the responds !
I did try and it worked. :)
Otherwise I have a history of breaking things I`m trying to bend.
