Al Mar SERE 2000

Please school me on the company and this model knife. It's the Al Mar SERE 2000. Anyone have experience with them and comparisons with other like companies. Thanks in advance.

Al Mar is considered one of the best Japanese knife companies around, up there with Moki and Mcusta (even if Moki does makes a bunch of their stuff).

Quality is exceptional, close to custom for mid-high range production pricing.

The SERE series has been around for just short of forever and is considered a classic fixed tactical blade.

How would you compare the SERE 2000 to say a Spyderco Endura or is it Apples to Oranges.

I would say Al Mar's are of near custom quality . I had a Mini SERE , well Built. My best Buddy often EDC's one .

I'm a big fan of the mini , but size is a personal thing . I would rate it as being a higher class of product than the Endura/Delica family ( which I also like ).
