Please school me on the company and this model knife. It's the Al Mar SERE 2000. Anyone have experience with them and comparisons with other like companies. Thanks in advance.  :salute:

Al Mar is considered one of the best Japanese knife companies around, up there with Moki and Mcusta (even if Moki does makes a bunch of their stuff).

Quality is exceptional, close to custom for mid-high range production pricing.

The SERE series has been around for just short of forever and is considered a classic fixed tactical blade.

Awesome. Exactly what I wanted to know.

How would you compare the SERE 2000 to say a Spyderco Endura or is it Apples to Oranges.

I would say Al Mar's are of near custom quality . I had a Mini SERE , well Built. My best Buddy often EDC's one .

I'm a big fan of the mini , but size is a personal thing . I would rate it as being a higher class of product than the Endura/Delica family ( which I also like ).
