Hello from Croatia

Hey everyone.

Been using multitools on a fairly regular basis for quite some time now. Since some brands left more than a bitter taste thought I'd join up, see other's thoughts, uses and changes to old and new models

Thanks for the welcome. I'm still in the process of learning how to speak softly because I'm very opinionated so I'll take my time

Here is a silly question - what is spare cash?

Money that other people keep for emergencies and folks here spend them to the last nickel on Swiss Army Knives and Multitools.
You didn't need to know the term since you joined here.

Kirky, are you somewhat related to his bad experiences too? I thought your powers had their limitations, but it seems that this isn't the case.
Styx, the first thing you should know about our forum is The Rule: it's always Kirky's fault. Blame him for everything. Even if you have no clue what you are blaming him for, don't worry; he knows!

Please share with us the bad experiences, we'll understand. The good thing about MTO is we're not sponsored by any manufacturer so we can talk freely about any of them. >:D

Thank you for the warm welcomes.

I'll have to write a fuller recount of the bad experiences but they have been with 2 US brands. A certain 1 hand opening brand and the original plier based brand

Was it with the tool itself or their customer service? I had a problematic experiance with our local LM distributor some 5 years ago regarding warranty (took 3 tries  ) but they've been a pleasure to deal with since. I've had a few very nice chats with the manager and she was very helpful about a month ago when a member here from Serbia needed to exchange his Supertool. I haven't had had any experiance with the local Spyderco distributer though.

Tools had a lot of breaks. Some was hard use, some nutjob use and some was regular use. The biggest gripe however was when a friend of mine sent from US in 2 Supertools for warranty. Over close to 9 months their customer service wasn't replying, sent out the replacement tools and forgot to send out the tools until they just said that they lost the tools he sent in but that they will call him back to confirm the address. They didn't call and when he called them they just avoided him and probably blocked his number.

Only dealings I've had with Spyderco was directly with their customer service in US. Took great care of me though even though I told 'em that I broke the warranty and just needed some advice
