SOG components?
on: July 07, 2013, 08:01:59 PM
Where else can you get multitool components online. Ordering from SOG does not seem like a great deal to me because of how much they charge for shipping. They want more for shipping than they do for most of the components

Also, whenever I'm about to go to SMKW, I tend to make a post asking for people to give me their lists of what is wanted from the items enki just posted; I've spent a good twenty minutes going through their bins, picking out the best examples of each of the above for various members on here. :tu:

Yep yep.

Sure, paying 10% sales tax sucks, but it beats getting scuffed parts and then getting screwed on shipping. ;)

Well if you go to SMKW again anytime soon, us UK MT enthusiasts might ask you to put together a bulk buy!

Some of us Europeans might be interested, too!
(But, pssst!  We need to call it "components" - there is an active Buying-prohibition on "tools" on me from the Boss...)

Why would Def have an issue with you buying tools?

Nah, Def is as bad an enabler than the rest of you. I meant MY Boss. The lady I share the flat with, you know.

That is definitely cheap! I was also wondering about scissors, V-cutter, 1/4" drive, and was curious about the Paladin components. I don't really want any of the Paladin stuff, I just see on their website where it says you can get replacement parts, but I have never seen any where you can actually get them.

Also, I have seen some SOGs have a large screwdriver that features a wire stripper notch. Does anyone know if this is available for sale?

Having just purchased a few SOG bits from HH this thread has made me sick.

No, similar to the wire stripper notch on LM's can opener/bottle opener but SOG put it on the large screw driver. It was featured on the Singapore Armed Forces Powerlock.

They don't have free shipping anymore? I got some wirestrippers and something else  can't quite remember what, and it was free shipping to Canada.
