There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

I had one of the latter living in my bathroom all summer. Cute little things, and not web makers. And when you are the size of my thumbnail, a three inch jump from the toilet tank to the vanity is impressive, especially if you have jump off the edge, playing out line as you fall, and then pendulum your way over. If you are the good, you get to live in my place rather than being unceremoniously scooped and put out in the yard.

And for the arachnophobes, how can you look at these little guys and not find them adorable? I mean camel spiders I'd understand being afraid of, but these are smart, active hunters, very shy, and they do seem to be very curious.
