So what did you do today?!
on: May 11, 2008, 04:21:01 PM
Well while i was outside in the back yard today in the beautiful sunshine, i noticed a pair of eyes watching me under the fence, it took me a few seconds to realise that a wascaly wabbit was looking back at me, this was kinda weird so i trooped inside to fetch my housemate to stare at it! When i returned however i found that the wabbit had invaded our yard so dutifully i started the hunt (to capture it not to kill it!) creeping up on it over gravel with no shoes on was a painful experience and just as i was about to make my move it fled back under the fence :(

I watched it over the fence retreat into another gardens flowerbed, and i felt that the chase was over. That was until half an hour later when i heard the next door neighbours making some odd noises so i peeked out of my window to investigate and there they were trying to feed it. The chase was back on! i asked them if they knew who it belonged to and they didn't know so i thought i best get it before it escapes on to the road. It darted into the alley way between our houses so i had to rush through the inside and get to the other end before it, this was going to be tight! As i came into the alley way in my stealth suit (read just shorts!) the wabbit was about 2m from escape, I was just in time! Now the hard part, getting hold of it, as i approached in my best impression of a hunter the wabbit was getting twitchy, obviously not its natural habitat. I got within 1m of it twice all the time forcing it back down the alley to my comrades who were waiting at the other end. They didn't seem very exicted by the prospect of grabbing a wabbit as it made it's way towards them so i knew it was all on me.

The wabbit could sense there was only one option a quick dart to my right as i began crouching down to get hold of it. As it darted my ninja reflexes took over and my right hand shot down to pin it (as gently as i could) to the floor. The chase was over i now could get both hands on it and begin to try and comfort it after what must have been a traumatic experience. A temporary hutch was made with a cardboard box, but it's now been upgraded to an empty wardrobe!!

We are now trying to find the owner.

Thats my good deed for the day done :D

Here's the cunning little devil!

Cheers! I'm sure you've made someone very happy.  :)

I've not had nearly the adventure today that you've had. Spent about two hours with my work crew of three daughters cleaning and detailing their mother's mini van. It's a traditional Mother's Day chore we do for her. With a family of five and the fact that it only gets cleaned but once a year you can imagine what a job it was. :P

Looks great now though, and we've made our traditional yearly vow to keep it clean. We'll see how long that lasts..... ::)

Haven't cleaned a car in a while but well done for that :)

It was quite fun having a pet again, even if it was only for a few hours :)

What a cutie! The kids always wanted to get a pet bunny, but mother and I said no. Too messy for the house. As I recall rabbits do not come equipped with a sphincter. They leave a little trail everywhere they go.  ;)

I'm not an expert on rabbit sphincters, but I do know that you can train them to use kitty litter, and apparently they are quite smart.  If I tried it, my dog would solve the problem long before we finished potty training it, so I couldn't tell you for sure!

Good job on the rabbit rescue!  They can be hard buggers to catch, and only the wiliest of hunters could manage it!  Poor Elmer's been at it for years and he's never managed it!  I'll be the owners were really happy to have it back- I know I would be if my pet got loose.

You deserve an official Multitool.org merit badge- pop one off the top of a bottle somewhere and wear it proudly!   :D

I haven't collected bottle caps since I was a little kid- I was just thinking that they would be a very fitting "merit badge" for Multitool.org members!  I never had many when I was a scout:

But after a job well done, I feel the Multitool.org member should be entitled to relax and enjoy a reward!

I did not have the adventure or doing of good deeds that some have had over the weekend.I visited with the folks,
spent time with the wife and kids.I just finished putting my new CB on a board along with the inverter i use to power my XM boombox.I slipseat a truck every night so having my electronics suite portable is a must.

I did use my Spartan to strip some wiring and cut some DuckTape, along with trimming some Zip Ties.
