The shape of the torch is based on an old Nitecore design. I've seen these doing the rounds on the likes of eBay and DX. Innards and prices vary, I believe Captain Spaulding bought some.

That's actually a SIPIK SK68 clone with an insane markup. :facepalm: Regular price is about $6. I think quite a few members here have that one.

Yes, these type of torches cost around $4- $8.

I have the odd one, they are very good and use both Li-Ions and AA batteries.

Buy one, but not for that price.

Even with a multimode output and a 14500/charger included that light shouldn't break $20 at the very, very high end.

The single mode Sipik is quite a good light.  I just gave one to a friend that does a lot of travelling and sometimes ends up in seedy motels.
