HAPPY NEW YEAR to all at MTo.  I still have a ways to go its only 0804 in the morning California time.  What a fun year 2013 was here on MTo with the lot of you.  New friends and lots of new shiny stuff made for a killer year.  Thanks to all here and looking forward to a wonderful 2014.  Wishing you all a healthy, safe, prosperous, and successful collecting for 2014.   :cheers:

Less than 12 hours to go here in Idaho. Hoping to get out and play my didgeridoo at midnight.


Some interesting tidbits about this day and the next:
• Tonight we're having a New Moon, meaning that it is blacked out.
• Tomorrow the moon is 1% lit, an extremely young moon - one of the rare lifetime events you will witness. There will be an extremely thin trace of the moon almost straight above the sunset point.
Is recommended to go out no more than 15 minutes after the sun sets. The event could last up to 25 minutes depending on your area and westerly view.
• Also the 2014 New Year comes to us on Hump Day!  :D

(Western US wise, you Aussie might have a better advantage!)

Well 2013 wasn't a great year for my family as lost 4 too cancer plus a friend  :-\ although due to a little finacial change I'm hoping 2014 will be a much better year,Happy new year everyone  :cheers:
