Kershaw Skyline BlackWash
on: January 01, 2014, 02:01:40 PM
Hi folks. I picked this up not too long ago, and I uploaded a video I wanted to share with you all. Admittedly, I'm a huge Kershaw fan and an even bigger Skyline fan. Kershaw recently started doing knives in their BlackWash finish, and it now is offered on the Skyline. It's one of the nicest looking finishes I've seen on a pocket knife.

Anyway, I hope you all enjoy!

Well, as long as it's not another beadblasted finish...

Agreed. I'm a Kershaw nut, but I've told them I'm not a fan of the bead blast finish. It makes rusting way too easy. It used to be the best way to mass finish blades, but recently they've made stonewashing their primary finish, and do that on a large scale. :D

Beadblasting is a really effective way to hide surface flaws on steel.

Thanks for the heads-up.  I EDC a Skyline.  It's the best combination of durability, weight and performance I've found in any locking folder.
