I always sacrifice a canned sardine to the fish gods on the first fishing day of the year.
Good luck!

I just got back from fishing.. It was AMAZING! I filled the gas tank ($200, already had a quarter of a tank prior). I have to say, I was very surprised how much it took.. So, I caught about thirty Striped Bass ( Stripers) and two keepers. ( 31 inch and 34 inch). The boat ran great. I went straight out the mouth of the Merrimack going full blast. It's good to do that because it releases all the engine fogger and the like. Oh, and I used my new fishing reel I bought- a Shimano Thunnus. I am pretty happy right now. Oh, and my buddy Sean caught a 37 incher!

Which MT will you be using?
"Some rise by sin, and some by virtue fall;
Some run from breaks of ice, and answer none:
And some condemned for a fault alone." -William Shakespeare, King Lear (1608), Act IV, scene 6, line 169

I took my Gerber 600 Fisherman. Today, I am going out again today. I am going to bring my SwissTool RS! I really only use my MTs for fixing things.. For fishing, I use my Van Staal pliers (AHMAZING!) or my floating X-Tools. I am gonna' catch some BIG Stripers today!
