Picked her up on Saturday.I've already spent my toy budget on a load of soundproofing and corrosion prevention materials It came with a free winch though It was the same price as various others I'd looked at but had that and the roof rack already fitted.

I love Land Rovers. If the Defender had been available here I would have bought one instead of a Jeep.Unfortunately all we import are Range Rovers, LR2's, LR4's and Evoques. I can get an older one. They have to be a minimum of ten years old. The problem with getting an older one is finding parts for them around here.DefSent from a digital multitool

My off Roaders
Funny you should mention that Tom, as I've often thought of importing a few old Land Rovers and selling them locally. I think they'd be a big hit with the aluminum panels given how quickly steel rusts here.DefSent from my smurfing hunk of techno sorcery

Here's my little Suzuki SJ410, it's a 1987 model and I'm the second owner.(Image removed from quote.)
Nice rig!For playing off road I much prefer a short wheelbase machine like that, a Sidekick or two door Jeep rather than a longer wheelbase like my four door jeep. I find it's nicer for most things, except maybe climbing steep hills. DefSent from my smurfing hunk of techno sorcery
better approach and departure angles, more manoeuvrable, less weight, SWB is definitely the way forward off-road.But you can't put a bed in the back
Talking of carrying wood Smashie, here's my friends SWB Mitubishi Shogun / Pajero. It does very well. (Image removed from quote.)Regards, Jon. Sent using my chubby fingers...
