Keep looking for those red ones they’re real beauties :tu:

Now I may be wrong but I believe that the mod 61 wasn’t actually released until June/July 1962 (my BYSAK as it goes) which is why 62’s are so hard to come by and I’ve never seen one from 61…but as I say I could be wrong :dunno:

A mod 1891 has been top of my want list for quite a while, a man can dream :rofl:

This is correct.  The earliest Model 1961 you'll find is from year 1962.  It's interesting to note, however, that the model 1951 was produced and issued through 1964, overlapping with the model 1961 by three years.  The latest Model 1951 I have is from year 1961, but a complete collection would have to include '62, '63, and '64.

I´m from 1962 as well but I gave up on finding a reasonably priced Soldier 62 in good condition. I don´t like this particular Soldier model anyway (no saw).

I got my first Soldier last week, but haven't carried it yet due to an ongoing challenge. It sure looks pretty though ::)

The one tool that I love, and probably use the most, is the locking pry tool/flathead/bottle opener. It is so much more robust than on the 91mm. The fact that it locks in place is a great feature!!  :climber:

I have not! I got it mid Wave challenge and went straight to the PST challenge. Next month will be quieter though, so I plan to EDC it for a while to test it out.

I noticed the bigger pry tool/flathead/bottle opener, very nice indeed. Prying is one of my main uses of a multitool, so locking will be very helpful.

I had a spare Spirit sheath lying around, it fits the Soldier perfectly.
