Next up is an 84mm Vuctorinox waiter with the combo tool.

But first it opens a bottle of Killians Irish Red in one bite

There has been an error as I forgot to mention that a newly traded leatherman sidekick(much different co from the pst) is up for tomorrow.

The Wenger Rangergrip 78 is Sunday.

The Final 4 is scheduled to start MOnday

Day 8- Victorinox 84mm waiter-26sec

Is this the fastest pocketable opener? One would think, the dedicated opener would be faster then the combi-tool

I too am surprised by the speed and efficiency of the combo tool.  As a screwdriver I feel it is inadequate and could flex with a tight screw.  But as a bottle and can opener, it is a great tool.

I have a new respect for the combo tool

Day 9- Leatherman Sikekick-51 sec

I really struggled with this tool.  Its not like I havent been in practice.

Leatherman is the only brand so far that did not have an improved time in the second tool.  The PST was the highest with 22 sec.

This is the third lowest time of the competition.  Just ahead of the Imperial Kamp King(79sec) and the failed Stainless China no name Multi tool.

The SideKick will replace the no name stainless china multi tool as the tool in the front of my car now.

Tomorrow is the Hulking 130mm Wenger Rangergrip

Still surprised you operate the Vic combo tool more efficiently than the regular can opener. Like I said before you got the rhythm down.

Agree with the combo tool being the best bottle opener. Love me a hoppy IPA and they are always capped. My mod is my drinking buddy.

Best 4 times are as follows.

Leatherman PST-22sec
Victorinox 84mm waiter-26 sec
Victorinox OUtrider-31sec
Wenger13-32sec

The final four will commence tomorrow starting with the slowest time (wenger)on the first day and the PST having the last chance on the last day.

Here is a pic of the final 4 and the order they will compete.

Im excited about tomorrow.

Something tells me that Tim Leatherman was conducting these same type of timed contests when he was designing his pst prototype back in the early 1980s.

I carry a sak everyday.  At home and at work.  It is my favorite multitool.  When I need pliers, I use a Klein fence tool.

But I think tomorrow I can beat 20sec with the pst.  It moved so fast and smooth in my hand when I used it to a 22 sec time over a week ago
