The axis lock for me for sure.  Love my benchmades.

Something about my OCD doenst let me like framelocks.  Having the scale move just doesnt feel right to me.

The horror adding to this that often framelocks have an ugly backside.

Anyway I like the liner lock but the back lock is my favorite.
It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.

Ball bearing lock as found on the Manix. Smoother operating and (I think) it has less moving parts than the Axis lock, while also being ambidextrous.
I EDC'd a SAK before MacGyver did...

I believe that would be SOG's Arc Lock.  I have a SE II, and have to agree.

Frame locks . I tried to vote framelock , and the poll wouldn't let me . All locks have vulnerabilities . All lock have strengths and weaknesses . Workmanship and execution is very important .

I honestly don't care that much which lock is on a particular knife, as long as it's properly executed.

+1

I do appreciate how different locks work with different designs/handling of the knife, but nothing worries me more than a poorly executed locking mechanism.  In fact, I would say a decent slip joint is a lot more safer to use than a knife with poorly executed locking mechanism.

Tri-ad lock for me it's self adjusting less to no blade play even after prolonged use.

I like back locks and liner locks because they're the most visually pleasing (at least for me). They leave both scales looking the same and at the same time are pretty solid. I like liner locks because we can see exactly how much the lock is pressed against the blade.

Bottom line, any lock that works fine is a good lock.

My first choise is liner lock. For its easy one hand opening, and closing. But just cant stop loving good  smooth working backlocks.

I prefer liner locks and back locks on my knives that have locks, however, the majority of my knives are traditional slip joints and SAKs  :climber:

I personally like lockback because they are fast to open and easy to close. Therefore I am very much comfortable in using them.
Also i think they are more reliable than any other.

I'd have to say back lock for preference, easier to use as a lefty.  I've been carrying right hand only knives for so long though that liner and frame locks don't bother me, I've had plenty of practice.  :)
