Take a big strong magnet and a powerful torch and go look for it. :pok: NOW! Before it gets lonely and jumps in someone else's pocket. :ahhh

Poor thing all alone in the cold.

Bummer

I've had good luck with looking at night with a bright light for knives I've lost

especially if there open with a polished blade.

it will reflect back at you if you hit it with the light.

I shall go back tomorrow for another hunt, but I'm not very optimistic  :(
I'm not even 100% sure that's where it was dropped, maybe she'll just turn up somewhere odd...that's happened before with tools I've 'lost'  ::)
in the mean time I may have to hold a vote on my new EDC OHO  :pok:
I can't afford to buy anything new at the mo, so, off the top of my head the contenders are (ATM  ::))

Vic Trekker ~ far from people friendly, quite 'scary' to the masses
LM Wave ~ a bit 'over-kill' to pair with my swisschamp (which I can't leave at home  ::))
LM Wingman ~ I'm tempted  ;)
Gerber EAB (old style and worn) ~ WAS my first choice before the Byrd, and great as *hack and hope*
(no big problem cutting things that shouldn't be cut with your 'blade')

all are not UK legal I know but needs must, and I'm not stupid about where I go, and I empty my pockets if I'm going to be somewhere I couldn't argue 'reasonable cause' (not that I've EVER had my pockets turned out by police)

I have had very good luck backtracking the day when I've lost tools (Charge ALX and my beloved blue Vic Farmer).

Good luck!

If you get a powerful enough magnet, even closed you should be able to get it. Can you get a dog and try to have it sniff it out? Give it another one of your tools to get the scent.

Burn the bush down!
If the handle is plastic, better not use a Napalm or flamethrower or something. Try the Orange Agent they used in Vietnam. But you should evacuate the county because it might give prolonged lateral damage.

Disclaimer: I was just kidding. Don't do such a thing, and if you do, don't tell anybody I told you so.

Never give up hope. I once lost a pair of pliers on a job and found them 18 months later.  Shuttle have then to this day 20 years later.
