Help me pick a whistle color :D

So I'm having trouble picking a color for a whistle.

- Black (for style purposes I can have all my other gear in black)
- Bright Orange (so people would be able to spot me faster while in use)
- OD Green (to be camouflaged so people can't see me as quickly)

What color whistle should I pick and I can only have 1 because they are pricey for whistles.

Bright Orange would be my choice, so YOU can find it in a hurry when you may be injured or incapacitated.  It might also make you slightly easier to find as well, which will also be a good thing if you need to use it.

If you are going to keep it inside a pouch or something, ORANGE.
If you are going to hang it outside being visible, BLACK. Unless you are going for the military look.

I think they also have a more forest or ninja turtle looking green.

Ideally I want to have like a Megaman looking blaster thing on my left arm with tools and stuff in it, which is where I would end up keeping the whistle.  But if the whistle ends up being way too thick then I will have to put it somewhere else.

Orange.  My assumption is that you would be using the whistle if in trouble - go for the being seen option every time

My thoughts. The whistle is something you use to be noticed. Bright colours make more sense. If by any chance you are unable to use the whistle to make a sound, the bright colour makes it easy to find/spot.

In your choice, black is nice. Whistles aren't really the most visible bits of kit, regardless of colour,

I don't get it, I would think it would depend on what kind of whistle? And also where's it going? I have a few whistles on my carry, all black so they go with anything, but the unique thing is that there paracord ends, so they attach to just about anything, I have one on my pocket pouch, one on the backpack, and one on the jackets zipper. I'd say black to match everything, but orange if you want it to stick out. JR

Orange, but not for the reason you stated.  It is to make the whistle easier to find if you drop it.

Buy an Orange one and paint it with Black tiger stripes .

Best of both worlds and it'll be pretty unique .
