I'm at work this afternoon but the weather was so nice this morning I had to duck out for a quick paddle.

I also tried out my trailer rig. For the most part it worked out ok.
Unfortunately one of the bolts holding the cross bars down came loose and disappeared on the way to the lake. Not having any spare bolts around and not wanting my boat to leave the trailer at the wrong time I had to secure it somehow.
Luckily I had brought extra ratchet straps so I was able to tie it down for the ride home.
I was only out on the lake for an hour today but it felt great!

Always good to get out and enjoy the day. Congrats! What is the water temperature up your way? (we still have ice here)

I've been out a couple of times with a guy who does tours of Chesapeake bay.
Had a blast doing it. Would like to get my own sometime.

The water here is still too cold to go in if you can avoid it. No ice though.

Thanks- I haven't been on Lake Mic Mac for a while. I used to paddle on that lake all the time- I used to live on the shore of the adjoining lake, Banook, and so every time I went out I was on this lake as it's the second lake in the canal system. This one is quite open and you get some pretty good wind and waves on it even though it isn't very big.
