Well I guess brass pins it is. The stainless/nickel was so hard it took me 1 hour to peen 1 side of a pin. Lol

Nickel/silver might work out a bit better for you. I'm a brass man myself.

Thx.  :D  But I've seen a lot of excellent peening jobs in here. Sidharta for instance. He has a very good technique not to harm the scales.

Thx.  :)

A restored Small Climber with LNF will follow soon. Will be my personal EDC, next to my workhorse, which also has a LNF.

Oh, and I just purchased a knife with LNF which will be customized, too. Maybe a Cyberexplorer, with LED instead of phillips.  But in that case, I have to sell one knife, because I don't want to collect, but use them.... But I can't.... AM I LNF-CRAZY?  :ahhh

I like SAKs but I also like knives with a clip so they don't weight on my pockets and are easy to access. So...

Clip from Uni-ball eye pen (by Mitsubishi) + Spartan =  :tu:

Carrying it today for the 1st time, success so far!

Yeoman-Mechanic rocks!  I built myself one and it's great.
I like it so much it has tended to be a bit of a shelf queen.

 Must carry it sometimes.

Extra Large Bantam

(Image removed from quote.)

Nice work. But I can recommend the use of a chisel for the pins. I made a custom round head chisel which I use for last steps of peening. It's more precise than a peening hammer and creates a good finish. Also the danger of peening too hard is reduced. I can see that the pins of your bantam have some little space to the scales.  ;)

photo was at tap #500.  tap #1000 took care of the gap.

Good advice though.  Any photos of that tool would be appreciated.

Finished another super Cadet yesterday.
Saw and scissors for extra beef. Classic silver scales. A beauty.
In order to have the pivots extend as much into the scales as possible I used flat button head screws and only minimal sinking. The snap is intense.
