Also have some more pics as requested.
An ALM inspired pioneer model. Found out that a 91 spring does indeed fit into a 93:D.

This was my first attempt at a small SAK, I fubar'd the blade(ground too much off) so it is a bit off...... and I messed up the countersink , so I just ground the screws flush with the body: it is NEVER coming apart. Ya live and learn, next one will be better.

And the silver SAK is the one i made for my dad the way he wanted it. I still wish he would let me redo it.........

My dad works in construction and wanted a utility blade: he uses it for scraping.

Where do you get screws that are small enough and what is on the other side?

Can you take apart your mods after they're done or are they more permanent like pins?

I get some of my parts from knifekits. The screws I used are these, http://www.knifekits.com/vcom/product_info.php?cPath=60_81_230&products_id=1983. Other parts I get from USKnifemaker too.

I like to make it so you can take apart the knife if it needs to be cleaned or maintained the other benefit I see from it too is, if a component beaks it is easy to replace.

My not-so-recently made, but just now posted to the forum, Cyber Yeoman mod.

Layers:
Combo Tool, Large blade, Corkscrew with eyeglass driver
Cyber Tool Layer with Robertson 1 and 2 bits added from a small precision driver set
Scissors, nail file hook
Black Scales with Tweezers, Toothpick and Pin

Note the lack of keyring attachment. I wanted it, but put in the wrong spacer plate when reassembling. It bugged me at first, but I don't mind it so much now. Might redo it if I can find some brass pin stock.

This one is a CT29 and Compact fusion.

I modded my CT34 by removing the pliers and adding the Metal File. Now it's a Cyber Modeller. Wider though and has more redundancies with my Swiss Tool so it sees less pocket time.

I'm piling up the necessary stuff to make at least two of these. What was the "organ donor" for the Phillips?

Thanks

Tinker is the cheapest,  most readily available source, but any 91mm Victorinox with a backside Phillips driver will work for making Apprentices. (So Super Tinker, Deluxe Tinker,  Hiker, Fieldmaster and Matterhorn etc. Will also work.)

Thanks . . . that's what I've been going after . . . Tinker with damaged blades/tools . . . the top side and scales take the thrashing and for some reason the Phillips is nearly always unscathed.

It's my most important Mod tool..it's an unsharpened blade blank made for a Camillus Coast guard knife. It has a perfect profile for removing scales...just have to run it around the bushing and it wedges the scale free. I also use it for disassembly.

Cool. I use a trashed 91mm small blade for that, although not as successfully

Well, I finally grew a set and went beyond removing the scales, and well, it was a b***h! But I think it turned out ok, not everything I wanted, I just didn't have the other tool.. I would have liked to switch out the corkscrew for a Philips but you do with what you have! Ok, so here's what I did, I popped out the small knife and put in a nail file, which fit yet didn't, it was a little bit more narrow then the knife so I had to add a little spacer, and it also disappeared when contracted, so I thought of something and filed the tool down so it would sit with the nail nick above the scale(complements to Syph for making sure before I did so).. I know big but hey something new!
