Thanks, I just used some old 6061 plate scrape. Too bad the aluminum black bleed thru the decal stencil is some areas.

Nice one! Great job, where did you get that blade adaptor?

Thanks. It is my first generation design 3D printed nickel plated brass.

Variable - I like the mod but I'm even more curious about the device it's sitting on with the Tyrell logo on it!

Last month I made a custom SAK I called the Millwright. I posted it here above.
Today I decided to turn this into a bladeless version. I’ve not personally had a problem where I needed a bladeless SAK but I hear about more and more places that don’t allow bladed tools on their premises. Hospitals, schools, government buildings, airports, etc. There are regions and countries where is this also the law. I expect this will become more and more common.

Another reason someone might want a bladeless knife is they already have a particular knife they carry and simply want to have a companion to that. Something that offers lots of tool options wile not requiring additional blades.

The Millwright now has had it’s the large blade, electrician blade, and awl removed.

Nice mod! I have a bladeless one too (but I kept the scissors) for times when a blade are forbidden and it's nice to have that choice

Great mod, I appreciate the thought about removing the blades.

Thanks guys!
I really like the scissors on my knives too.  They are almost a must have at this point for me. For this knife I thought knowing my luck I’d run into the one cop who would call my scissors out for having a finished sharpened edge. That’s why I took the awl off the knife too. I’m guessing we’ve all met an official like that before who takes everything further than common sense would suggest.

I’ve been thinking for a while that tools like the universal wrench and also the pliers would be great to have as a companion to one of the screwdrivers. Obviously something that’s impossible when both tools are on the same knife. I think this would be great as a bladeless companion to a knife with an inline Philips or CyberTool. I was thinking something like the Spartan lite but there really are many that would fit the bill. Maybe something with scissors. One could hang inside both front pants pockets. Sort of an A/B setup.  I’m going to try it for a few days to see how much I’d use it. Just a thought anyway.

What are your thoughts?

Three newish mods:
I don't like the Victorinox OH blade, I find it comes in the way of using the other tools (in particular the saw) so I replaced it on my Locksmith with a two-handed serrated blade. While I was at it I changed the backside Phillips for a corkscrew.
I also recently made a 93mm "Ranger" and the Urban X mod pioneered (see what I did there?) by Syph.

Bladeless mods for this week-end.

The nail file is from an 84mm knife so it sits deep in a 93mm (although the nail nick is still accessible) but I'm storing small tweezers inside which raise it just the right amount.

Awesome job!  :like: I love the one with all the tools and none of the stabbiness. One would think it's globally legal (wouldn't risk air travel though).

The laser engraved Koi are available from several sellers on Aliexpress (and probably other places), the machined ones are from w3rktrieb (can be found on Etsy or at their dedicated web site).

Great look! Mods like this exemplify (is that a word?) the tool aspect of SAKs. You can pack a lot of capability into that slim and narrow frame, if you ditch the knife blade and the antiquated opener layer altogether (rather than mod the openers into something more useful). I at least carry a single blade folder anyway, and the blade on a SAK sees very little use.
