Yes, those are mosaic pins. Actually those are set as plugs over the normal pin and bushing.
I made myself a new Saddle stitching awl...and a matching SAK from bits and pieces to go with it.The wood is Pacific Yew.
Oh good, I wasn't the only one scratching my head then
...I have done quite a bit of lacing, and that can get complicated quick. I do not however like the added thickness it imparts a piece.
