I never carry my white SAKs...don't they get yucky quickly?

Benner brings a thread back on topic?

Can I point out that the topic of this debate is a SAK with a saw!  ::)

Thank you for bringing this kicking and screaming back on topic Ben.  Yes, the white are lovely and I suspect this SAK will see a good bit of pocket time.  :tu:

Have you tried sparking the rod yet?  It wouldn't be my first or even second choice of firelighter but in an emergency it'll do the job.
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

Yes, it works!  :D  It's a bit of luck it's going on a saw based SAK as the back of the saw makes for a great striking surface.  It's really very much appreciated.  :tu:

If the knife has the metal saw/file you could strike the end of the rod on it like a match...I've tried that with welding striker flints.

There's a plan  :tu:  I've not tried it on the metal file.  Didn't work on a Classic nail file though.

Works best on a file with cut teeth...I've done it on a LM PST file as well.

The wood is Pacific Yew.
