Today i did some easy mods to practice.

(Image removed from quote.)

The frist mod i did was make a 91mm Gourmet out of a Tinker. (Garth's mod)

(Image removed from quote.)

The second mod was a apprentice made from a Waiter. The Philip blade came from the Tinker (Neil's mod) http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,9057.15.html

(Image removed from quote.)

The third mod was Garth's Huntsman Lite* that i added new white plus scales and added a second set of tweezers (Neil's mod)

(Image removed from quote.)

Well done Mike.  :tu:  So did everything go to plan?

*just to note it's called the Huntsman Slim. ;)

Sorry about about calling it a Huntsman Lite Victorinox already has that name taken. Did every thing go as planed? I would say yes the how-tos you and others did helped a lot. Penning the pins is a hands on skill you need to get a feel for it. After doing all those pins i got a lot better at it. Believe it or not i found polishing the old scales to be the hardest part. I enjoyed doing these knife and can't wait to do my next. So now i need to find an old Exploror and Waiter. I have one more i forgot to post a pic of.

I think Alcohol, Tabacco and Firearms should be a convenience store, not a government agency.

That's fine Mike, in fact I wanted to call it the "Huntsman Light" but realised that the name was already in use so went with the "Slim" name to avoid confusion (not that it worked, 'cos you're certainly not the first to mix it up).  Ah well. :D

I would like to mediate on the issue.. put aside this huntsman word and call it the Forager™

I like what you've done with the edges of the CF there.  used CF scales on my very first mod, and struggled and deliberated for ages on how to finish the edges. I ended up with something very similar (but not as good I think) as yours. Nice job.
I used to come here a lot.

They look excellent Taninaree. :salute:  Is there any way you could get them a little more glossy?  I think the finish is just a little too 'matt' for my taste.

It looks interesting... now if only someone could shape an OHT's blade to look like a Spyderco Kiwi's. XD
