Regarding the breaching : I honestly don't know. All he said was that they were giving him a hard time about it in the US.
But that does mean that MT.o gets read by Leatherman employees, possibly higher-ups

Yes, they do.  Posting things that "your buddy" told you about, especially regarding products that are still in development and/or not released yet will get him in some serious hot water.

I only ask as I think it's fair to say we're all pretty fanatical around here as to what we like and don't like and more importantly what would prompt us to part with our hard earned cash and what just leaves us stone cold bemused.

Mostly they lurk, but they have made their presence known a time or two.

Mostly they want to leave this place alone and get honest feedback.  I guarantee this place is the most valuable focus group available to multitool manufacturers.  They'd have to be very uninterested in their own products to NOT be here.
