Well, I spent some time on my sheath project on Sunday.

I was able to glue the layers of the holster together then followed by punching the holes for stitching.  I am very pleased on how well this is turning out.

I used clothes pins to hold the layers together while the contact cement dried.  I found out that I needed to trim one side of the sheath before I stitched it.  It was the side I was putting the flash light holder.

I had my wife help me stitch up the first one.  She was able to do it a lot faster than if I would have done it.

It looks awesome!  I will post a picture of the finish product tomorrow evening.

That is indeed beautiful work!  It's great that you are taking the time to show each step of the way as well- it encourages others to try it.

I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product as well- it looks amazing so far!

Here is the finished sheath.  I am quite surprised at how well this project turned out.

My Surge practically finds its way into its new home.  The snap latch is just slightly snug but I'm sure the leather will "give" with time.

I gave the finished sheath one last coat of black leather dye making it a total of three coats, then buffed to a slight shine.  I have since sealed the leather with a clear leather sealer and has just a very slight sheen of the leather.

This one will go to my Dad for his Surge.  His has the belt loop.  Mine will have a metal beltclip.

A couple of more.

My wife should have mine stitched up and finished before bed time.

Very nice job you did there. I am very impressed with your first job. Now all it needs is the Marine Corp. Emblem  stamped into it and it is complete. Oh yah then you need to send it to me.

Here is a picture of my new sheath in use.

I took it to work yesterday and today and I like that it fits nice and snug against my waist.  I have to say I can definitely notice the added weight of the Surge.  I weighed the loaded sheath on our postage scale at work and it came in at 1 lb 3 oz.
I don't normally wear my multi to work since I sit at my desk most of the day and our dress code is business casual so I wear slacks 4 days a week and jeans on Friday.  Fridays is the only day I wear my sheath.
