The Victorinox Spirit if I only could have one
Wurkkos TS21
If I only can have one I want all this juice with the sweet, sweet Anduril.
Kizer T1
Only one, better carry the nicest EDC-y one I have.
I'm noticing that 'you can have only one' makes me think big. I own all these and none are in my EDC because mine is an urban/bicycle commuting EDC and all these are too big.
Funny, right?

SAK: Climber Plus. For me a MT or bigger SAK is too much for comfortable pocket carry.
Light: Reylight Pineapple Mini. I’ve carried this every day for three years and plan to carry it forever.
Knife: Aerocrafted Sideslip. A tiny very light utility blade for opening boxes etc. Light duty only but that’s fine for me. I’ve carried this and used it daily for about two years. Don’t find the need for more than this and a SAK.

Mine doesn’t exist
Never has and never will
In my minds eye I see blunt head pliers made from proper high quality tool steel by brands that excel in that area, I see twin fold out 1/4” standard bit holders both magnetised, I see a fold out box cutter that takes standard box cutter blades. The OG LM serrated blade would be welcome too
I expect the tool to be built to withstand daily use but when folded to slip easily into trouser pockets.
But alas this will never be
Instead we can opt for a variety of garish handsets each occupying the same dreary tool load out as has been for the past 40odd years, undoubtedly made from cheap naff steel to maximise profits and “still look good”
But if we believe the ads we shall imagine ourselves as hero’s, battling through the wilds, scaring away beasts and repairing our SUV’s miles from civilisation.
Like I say, what is needed has never yet been offered.

I don't claim to know it all, but what I do know is right.

I typed up a long response to this...submitted it and poof it disappeared so here's the TLDR of it all.
Multitool = Vic Huntsman (A plier based mulitool was tempting but the difference in pocketability meant this guy won out)
Flashlight = Zebralight H53Fc (uses common AA batteries, lasts a long time on one battery, converts to a headlamp)
Knife = Buck 110 ( also in the running was a BM 940 and an Emerson CQC7 because of the likelyhood of long parts support for the models)

I may have already answered some pages ago. If this answer is the same, then at least im consistent.
Multitool: Leatherman Surge. Has a saw AND scissors. Saw is a blade exchanger, too. And both the saw and the scissors are good on the Surge. Has a plain blade and serrated blade.. Wave if I want the same but weight savings, but the scissors kinda stink
Flashlight: MagLight XL50
Knife: Spyderco Native 5...maybe an Atlantic Salt. Either will do, because the Surge has both serrated and plain edge, it's not as if I need it to pick up slack.

Atlantic Salt.
Now that's a good option. I would be tempted to swap my knife pick to one of those.
Also i had one of those maglite xl50's a long time ago. No idea where it is now. I had complete buried that memory until seeing your message. Weird because I carried one for 5 years or so when rhey first came out.

This topic blends well into the other EDC discussion in another thread. Wave+ for MT, it's just a lot of tool in a manageable size. Peltonen M07 for knife; if open carry is not possible, then the largest and toughest folder I can find. Currently I don't have anything that comes near, so I'm open for suggestions. Maybe one of those overbuilt Cold Steel tanks?
For light, I don't have a preference, but Olights have been reliable. A USB rechargeable one, because charging has been made so easy, you can do it in your car, desk, nightstand... but for outdoor use, AA or AAA is more practical. I have no need for a super bright searchlight, so something compact will do.

Victorinox: Swisstool Spirit.
Leatherman: ST300/Rebar.
All these Wave/Charge/ARC... with their weak design cannot stand up to the ST300 or Rebar line.
Flashlight: HDS Rotary/Zebralight SC65c HI/SC54c N or Streamlight PROTAC 1L-1AA.

I know I've already posted, but here are today's thoughts.
Multi tool: Original Swisstool. I've had one since the late '90s, carried it a lot and used it a lot, and it's still tight and works great.
Locking folder: US made 7OT with 1095 blade.
Flashlight: Emisar D4V2 in solid copper with XP-L HI U4 8A (80CRI), 2850K emitters. Takes a single 18650 cell; I use scavenged cells from power tools in mine.
Full disclosure on this: I don't have this exact build. Instead I have this emitter in an aluminum body D4V2. I do have the solid copper version, but the emitters are E21A, R9050 Warm White, 2000K. I love that tint for indoors and wouldn't change a thing about it; but the emitters in my aluminum one are better for outdoors.
Actually my aluminum one is a great EDC as it is.

Knife: Any of the large plain CRK's in Magnacut (it's hard to pick a favourite between the Sebenza, Inkosi and Umnumzaan).
Multitool: Pioneer (Berry from 2018 is my favourite), or Pioneer X.
Flashlight: I can live without a flashlight, but a Olight Baton 4 is nice. I could swap the light for a Seiko Turtle...
