I keep having this happen, and it makes me mad.
I haven't found a lot of low-cost MTs that I thought were good, but it seems inevitable that when I DO, they stop making them pretty much immediately after I find them.
The two best examples are the Sheffield 12010 (or any other name it goes by), and theNorthern Industrial Tools 'Mountain' multitool.
The Sheffield was like a tiny copy of the PST II. For the cost ($5), it was quite good. Bad fit and finish, but great functionality.
http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,38583.0.htmlThe Mountain was a big beast of a tool, built like a tank, and sold for $7 in store.
http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,44010.0.htmlNow, they're gone.
And, while that's sad, another departed tool is Home Depot's pretty terrible Husky 14-in-1. So... win some, lose some.
