I have got the opportunity to add some cheap knives to an order and was wondering if the Byrd FRN knives are worth it? Well over the G10.
I have the most excellent Meadowlark 2 G10 and its a surprising favourite of mine, would getting FRN versions of it and the Cara Cara be worthwhile?

Can offer much except to say that I've had a Cara-Cara of some description in the past,and it was fine,and that I'd rate a Tern over a UKPK

Sorry, I can't help much either. I've only had G10 models (Wings Slipit and Tern).

I'm glad I managed to get one of the original black G10 UKPKs as I don't care for the looks of the later FRN versions

I have a Tern in G10, and a Meadowlark in FRN. The FRN feels a little cheaper, but is very solid.

Agreed. I'm not a fan or the Byrd FRN at all.

Worth noting is that the Cara Cara is a BIG knife. And there were two of them.

The original Had a slightly different blade shape and was hollow ground and the Cara Cara 2 is flat ground.

I'm already getting the Cara Cara flat ground G10 version, I usually EDC an Endura so I'm used to the size.

The question is the Zytel FRN version better to carry than the G10.

Weight is the big thing but does the FRN feel "cheap" ?

In my opinion the Byrd FRN feels very cheap.
