 :viking:

ny fans of these Normark Eka made in Sweden Knives? The steel is outstanding.

I got it used on saturday, used it all weekend for wood carving and cutting up cardboard boxes.  returned to sharp with just a strop on leather.

When I got it I didnt need to sharpen it.  I am impressed

It's probably easier to look for "EKA Swede 38". Same thing and widely available in different handle colors. I've been thinking of getting an orange one.

That's a great steel, Sandvik 12c27. I've got a few Laguioles with this steel, also the Opinel inox is in this steel. Very high rust resistant, and very easy to sharpen.

Agree abou tthe 12C27 steel. My Inox Opinel's and the mora have won me over to it. Good stuff. I like the little Eka slip joint, but I rarely see them around. Would have to buy off the 'net.
Don't get too serious, just enough will do.

It seems to have tiny lines that run perpindicular to the blade.  Is it laminated??

That looks great! I'm on the site that hrvstmn31 posted, and I'm very tempted by the Blue Swede 38's in Carbon steel.

No, probably just grind lines or something. No lamination or zone hardening.
