That be a Spirit (or Swisstool of some sort).

I can never get that close as all I get are dark pictures.

Yep its the head of a Swisstool.  These were done with two 50mm lenses back to back.  Focusing and the very limited depth of field made it a bit of a chore  :-\  Oh well curiosity satisfied, back to normal pics for me :)
