Well at first I liked it's simple lines, and thought it an honest unpretentious tool, now I find myself thinking it's a bit of a design cope out :-\, it's still a good tool, but for me a Multitool has to be as flexible as can be, and the Core just can't compare to the Swisstool in my eyes I'm afraid :(

I really, really wanted to like it, and I did for a while, but I'm a Swiss zealot so I guess I'll just have to get used to nothing else measuring up :( (again IMO)

It'll probably be up for sale soon :(

I live down here in Southern Middle Tennessee, and never have found a store that sells the swiss tool or spirit. Now walmart sells the SAK, but nothing else.

I'm gonna start calling you Swiss Toni :D

I don't agree with this idea that Vic's quality is better than LMs. I think they are both comparable in my experience - but the world would be a boring place if we all agreed on everything!

Anyhoo, my Top 5:

1) Charge TTi
2) Micra
3) Vic Swisschamp
4) Crunch
5) Juice KF4

That's pretty well my EDC rotation with various other tools getting an airing form time to time.

Provided I don't botch it up, hopefully the Davechamp CX+™ will get a look-in soon though....

I used to come here a lot.

I agree with that, Dave. If you look at the pros and cons of the high luster Vic finish and the pros and cons of the LM finish they sort of even out.. High polish makes it basically impervious to elements, but the drivers are so polished they tend to slip.. The LM finish is fairly rust resistant ( with a think coat of Tuf Glide mind you) and the drivers work well... You get what I'm saying..

MY favorites are
1. Vic Fieldmaster, the perfect EDC for me. Big enough to have all the tools I need but small enough to wear in a suit.

2. Vic Spirit S, IMHO the finest pliers based multi-tool I've ever encountered.

3. LM Kick, not because it's the best tool but I do believe that it is about the best value if you want a basic no frills plier based multi-tool.

4. Vic Tinker, especially the small Tinker. Like the LM Kick it's on this list for value reasons. You can pick these up cheap and they are just about the best value for the money in a small thin pocketknife.

5. Vic Farmer. Do I really need to explain this one?

Honorable mention. The original LM PST. In the whole scheme of things it's a primitive multi-tool now but in its day there was NOTHING like it. There may have been other multi-tools out there but none shook the world like this.
