Just bought a new watch, but it's not new by any means!

It's a Waltham cased in 1906, same year the mechanism was made. The case was made in 1873, so the Waltham factory had a nice stock of parts! The movement has the inscriptions American Waltham Watch, 15 Jewels, Serial Number 14895869
I need a crystal and bezel, and a set of hands wouldn't hurt none. my grandfather was born and raised four blocks from where this watch was made!

There is nothing like watching the precision of a mechanical watch at work.  It's very hypnotic and I love it!

Also, awesome heritage there, getting a watch that was made so close to where your grandfather grew up!
