What tool can't you be without

So today I was getting ready for work and was about to swap out my Surge that I carry religiously everyday for an OHT and I thought, I won't have a pair of scissors with me if I have the OHT and I rely almost daily on the Surge's scissors.

It got me thinking, what specific tool, be it on any MT, is it you can't be without on a daily basis?

For me personally I couldn't be without a pair of pliers.

What's yours?

For me that would be a knife blade, although I'm good with even the tiniest blade.

Scissors, blade, and pliers have to be on an mt. Screw drivers are almost always in an mt

For me, the tool I most use is a small Phillips that I use for tightening eyeglass screws. Thus, surprisingly enough, I found the perfect driver in the Swiss+Tech Utili-key.

A knife and a watch, I had to go to court the one day, and well couldn't take it with me, I felt so naked, every five min patting my pocket to remember it's not there

Coffee.

A knife blade is the only tool that I'm guaranteed to use daily, so that would be the one I couldn't live without.

For me it's my Woodsman. It covers all my day to day practical needs but also acts as a talisman and an anchor for me. It's always with me.

Good question! Giving it a bit of thought and looking at my EDC rotation, I'd say first and foremost, any of my rotation in my right front pocket...it's what I play with, have in my hand, much like Worry Beads.

As for tools, it's truly a toss up between the screwdriver capability and the scissors...so I'll go with screwdriver. The blade is behind the scissors, except if the SAK carry doesn't have scissors (eg, my Cadets), then the blade is number two.

My first response would be knife blade, but i find myself more and more making sure I have a sak with scissors on it.

I'm sad to admit that it is a toothpick. Nothing else comes close to getting as much use as my SAK toothpick.

Next in line are a small blade, (large ones are usually in the way for what I use them for) scissors, large flat head screwdriver, and an inline #2 Phillips.

I ALWAYS carry a SAK. A Classic SD, Signature Lite or a MiniChamp.
At work I always carry a Huntsman.
Never leave home without one…

Sometimes I dress and leave everything behind. Everything except my Minichamp with Ladybug attached.

None of them, while there are a few a really like (Syph custom Alox, Cruwear Military, BO Surge) they can all be rotated out for something else.
