Mercator knives: What do you think?

Recently I received a Mercator K55K knife. However, the blade does not have the usual shape.
I can't find anything about it so I don't know anything about it.
If anyone can tell me more about this knife, I'd love to hear it.

The nail nick on K55K is curved and on this side it says "Mercator" and "Germany" with Bold Capital letters up and "Solingen" with small cursive letters on the other side.
Maybe it is a mod. The blade is in better condition than the handle, perhaps they changed the blade after too much wear of the original?

I have the K55K and find it great. It has a blade similar with the Opinel Jardin #8 which I love and it is similar to the Victorinox drop point, but longer. It is also much slimmer, so easier to carry in your pants pocket. But since I can open and close the Opinel with one hand and lock it in both positions one handed and it has a wooden handle that I engraved myself, I decided to keep using the Opi at the moment and kept the K55K stored. Very nice knife though.

K55K is my EDC now. More pocketable and the lock is more dependable. Not so easy to open it one-handed.
