Having owned one in LM's own aged tumbled finish for some time now, I can only say - what a great addition to any MT set.

Being about 1/3 thinner than Piranha it makes a perfect implement for your Skinth pouch etc.

Hah yeah, Ross. I see various small Leatherman and Gerber Multitools and knives at Ross for around $10 all the time

Look for other Leathermans as well. You can find Juice's and style PS's for cheap sometimes. Make sure you move stuff around and really look though. For some reason it seems the Leathermans are always taken off the rack and hidden.

Look for other Leathermans as well. You can find Juice's and style PS's for cheap sometimes. Make sure you move stuff around and really look though. For some reason it seems the Leathermans are always taken off the rack and hidden.

I've gotten some Saks, a Style CS, a Juice and one of those cheep 80's Survival Knives from Ross.

The only problem is they are a clearance retailer. The store doesn't have any inventory track or order for individual items. They never know what they will get in a shipment till they unpack it. It's luck of the draw.

Man, wish I could find some SAKs at Ross. All the ones near me only carry freestyles (which I hate the look of) and the cheapy no name brand stuff

I completely agree with this. I wasn't too sure about the Croc when I first picked it up, since it seemed much less sturdy than the Piranha, but it has been a fantastic way to complement whatever LM I happen to be carrying. Like babola said, the thinner form factor allows it to fit nicely in the back pocket of a Skinth or the LM sheaths.

if the price drops a bit on these, I'll definitely pick up a couple more.

Well, I just checked out my local Ross today (finally) but no Leatherman stuff. Or SAKs. They had some Gerber folding knives for $15, but it wasn't anything I couldn't live without so I passed. They had several of those Re:solve plastic brick tools - the blue one and the green one. Still, I think I will start making it a regular visit, just to check. It's in the same mall as Scheels and Bed Bath and Beyond so it's not like I'm never over there
